WHY WE DO CHURCH?

HOW WE DO CHURCH

WHAT WE BELIEVE

LIFE EVENTS

We believe that we are called to worship God in community with our whole lives throughout our entire lives.  The church has historically marked these special life events with sacred practices that help us worship God.

If you are entering into any of these life stages, let us know how we can help you make it a special day for you that honors God.

LEADERSHIP

Pastors Sandi and Brian Asker lead Crossview Rosa Parks, but believing we are better together, we are also part of the larger Crossview Church

Pastor Sandi Asker loves to sweat, think deep thoughts, and clean up. She loves to help others think through what they believe. She says, “I love that Jesus was super smart, always right and gave Himself for messed up kids like me.”

Pastor Brian Asker loves to run, swim and play strategy games. He got a degree in computer science, but realized during his senior year of college that what he really loves is helping people connect to Jesus.

OUR STORY

First Preview Service | November 17, 2019

Pastors Sandi and Brian Asker and their three kids moved to Mankato in 2019 to join Crossview in planting a new church on “the other side of town.”

Crossview had been dreaming and praying for 15-20 years. When the Askers arrived, they started gathering a group of people who would form the launch team. Prayers increased during the summer of 2019. Launch team training followed in the fall. The first preview service took place on November 17, 2019 in the Great Room at Crossview. They hosted one more preview service in December before Rosa Parks Elementary was chosen as the location.

The Askers and the launch team began preparing for a public launch in March 2020. That’s when COVID changed everything. Instead of an in-person Grand Opening, we started weekly worship services online, zoom small groups, zoom prayer meetings and zoom coffee hour.

The team resumed in-person preview services in the June 2020, with weekly in person services launching in September 2020, meeting at the AmericINN because the Elementary School was unavailable due to the pandemic.

In October 2020, we hosted the first annual trunk or treat event for MY Place kids. In-person small groups started meeting outside during the spring of 2021 and on June 13, 2021, the church began worshipping at Rosa Parks Elementary.
